Today is all planing, cutting, gluing, running the jointer, occasional sanding (phwew!!), experimenting, brainstorming, coming up with new ideas and digging up old ones.
Charcuterie boards and flight paddles are old hat but some of the new designs and styles today are not!!
Some woodworkers use templates for handle designs and boards, and I totally get that... production and style duplication makes it quicker and easier to offer "this style". And I don't know, maybe I should go that route but make my own templates instead of buying some created by someone else... maybe? It's just not me.
But it's not about me is it?!! It's about what ya'll need. So tell me, do you feel a charcuterie board shape that can be repeated would be more ideal for you? Or do you want that one of a kind piece? Or both? 50/50?
Here are a few things I have been working on today.
Flight paddles for liquor and beer. Paddles with a wood handle and paddles with metal pull type handles. Unique shape charcuterie boards.

Working this glue up cutting board. I never make this style because so many other people do, but what the heck!! Why not?
(probably should scrape some of that glue.)

And a couple clock starts to boot... see... some new looks, some old looks.... and something I am experimenting with coming down the pipeline (not shown because I am scared to show you this crazy idea I had). Will it fail? Maybe? Probably. If so, it would just leave me with "scraps". But like I have said before....
there are no scraps here, just pieces I have not yet used.
Whats next? Who knows!!! Any ideas??? Lemme know in the comments.
