What do I do here?

Sometimes I feel as though no one really gets what I do. And the way i see it is, I do so much that even I can't wrap my head around what I do. It's just laser design work and woodworking. If you can dream it, I can probably create it within my realm of expertise, Even though I am by far not an expert.... every day i am learning as I go!

I often have had clients come to me with requests. And I often have people tell me that I was the only one they could find who could actually create it for them. And that is what keep me going.

I love the design process. I love taking a thought or an idea and just turning it into a reality. It has it challenges and often times I worry I can't do it. And with any custom project where its a totally custom project, charging for it is hard. I made spend 2 hours designing and creating prototypes and there is no way to actually charge for the time I spend. I try to be fair as there are many times that what I created resonates with someone else and voila, I make 10 more of them. After all the kinks have been worked out and it becomes old hat.

All the things that I am asked to design and create is just one more little thing I know I can do. One more thing to add to that long list of

"what do you do, AJ?"

"Let me show you!!!"
